Queens Crossing Dermatology - Best Dermatologist Flushing
We provide outstanding, comprehensive dermatologic care in a friendly and comfortable environment. For both adults and children After being burned, dealing for 3 years with foliculite and going to 14 doctors I found this place. Treated by doctor vivian yEe. I have to take a long train but totally worth it. Got my hope back here. Thank you. I have been a patient of Dr. Huang for many years. Both Dr. Huang and Dr. Yee are wonderful dermatologist. They truly know how to treat and diagnose dermatological problems. Dr. Yee found a basal cell on my sister during a routine scan. While they do cosmetic procedures as well they don't just try to sell you products that you don't need. While the wait can be long that is because both of the doctors' take the time to discuss your problems so that you clearly understand procedures that need to be done. They do no rush you and thus, they sometimes get backed up. Yes, while the wait staff is efficient, they could probably smile once in a while as a smile goes a long way. I highly recommend this practice. Carol Huang and Vivian Yee are incredibly smart, professional people. Out of all the times I've been here for all my medical dermatology needs, they handled my concerns and issues in a timely and comprehensive manner. Both of them are extremely personal , friendly, and I think they are the best medical dermatologists I've ever been to. When I graduate, I'm bound to come back here for cosmetic needs. Dr. Vivian Yee was great and then even greater! I have been going to her for several months for laser treatments for my spider veins. She has always made me feel comfortable and is always considerate of the pain and totally helps me get through it. My legs looks awesome and I am soooo happy with the outcome. After several treatments I started getting curious about other cosmetic treatments like botox and fillers. Dr. Yee took the time to thoroughly explain to me what they are and how they are used. So I decided to go for it! I received botox in my forehead, around my eyes and in between by eyebrows. I was also very concerned about my laugh lines but her advice was to put fillers in my cheek bones and not in the laugh lines. This had several affects: it lifted my skin to ease the lines a bit, it made my face more 3-dimentional and less flat, and gave me those high cheek bones I'd always been jealous of. The overall effect is AWESOME! I can't tell you how many compliments I have received about how youthful I look. All these compliments is what prompted me to write this review. The work Dr. Yee has done looks so natural and yet it is so effective that I am in awe of her skill and am so grateful she is my dermatologist. I go to Dr. Vivian Yee when I want a bag full of samples and goodies for my skin :) The wait wasn't too long, Dr. Yee is very professional and gives an accurate diagnosis. I had a cyst on my eyelid which she gave me advice on what my options were and what kind of surgeon I should see to have it removed. Yep $60 w/o insurance. Really packed and the wait is ~1 hour even with an appointment any day of the week. The doctor (Dr. Huang) sees you for literally less than 5 minutes. If you have questions, you better have them ready! She's nice though, and I like her cuz she gives you these savings cards for your prescriptions :] Oh yea, she also speaks English. After unsuccessfully visiting numerous dermatologists in the Flushing area, I had all but given up. A friend has recommended me to Dr. Vivian Yee and I am happy to say that I have finally found a doctor who meets all my medical needs. She was professional without interrupting you with a quick and easy diagnosis. She did not rush me, took her time and the results surely shows. She is incredibly empathetic to your needs and concerns. My overall experience has been positive. The wait wasn't bad and best part, Dr. Yee helps saves your wallet a little by giving you some samples before committing to certain washes/lotions. At $60 per visit for those w/o insurance, this is as cheap as it gets for me!!! I've struggled with acne all my life, and Dr. Vivian Yee has finally helped me bring it under control. I've only been there on weekdays and the wait times are reasonable!

Skin Rejuvenation and Acne Scarring

Laser Skin Rejuvenation
Aging, acne, and too much time in the sun can all damage your skin. Leaving you with scars, wrinkles, blotches, and fine lines. To combat these issues, we offer laser skin resurfacing, helping your skin to look and feel, younger and healthier!

How does Laser Skin Resurfacing work?
Laser skin resurfacing removed skin layer by layer with precision. The new skin cells that form during healing give the skin a tighter, younger looking surface. The procedure can be done alone or in conjunction with other cosmetic procedures.

The lasers penetrate the skin’s surface and using high-energy beams stimulate the body’s own natural production of collagen. This collagen helps restore the lost facial volume due to age, as well as reducing the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, hyperpigmentation and much, much more.

Side Effects or Downtime?
Side effects are also very limited. Occasionally patients may experience light swelling and light redness, however most of these side effects will disappear within a day or two. And your skin will continuously improve in the following days to weeks.

There is also very limited downtime, patients can generally return to their daily activities almost immediately. However, patients should avoid strenuous exercise, overexposure to sunlight, overly abrasive contact with the treatment area, and use of any topical creams that may cause damage to the area.

Pre-Procedure
At your consult, we will examine your skin and the treatment area to determine whether you are a good candidate for laser resurfacing. Those on certain medications or using certain topical creams should alert their doctor before undergoing the procedure.
You should avoid aspirins, ibuprofen, and vitamin E supplements up to 10 days before your procedure, as these can affect your bloods ability to clot causing irritations during the process!

At Queens Crossing the number one quality in our lasers is versatility. This allows us the ability to use them on many different skin types and tones. Also, they are highly dependable and leave little to no side effects! Patients will also experience limited downtime, while achieving the smooth, tight, blemish-free skin they’ve always wanted! Get your natural glow back with laser skin rejuvenation!

Acne Scarring
Chronic acne can leave permanent scars on an individual’s face. A scar is formed as a natural part of the body’s healing process. These scars vary from deep pit scars to angular and wavelike scars. Laser skin resurfacing offers the best method of treatment for most scarring.

How do acne scars form?
Acne scars are scars like any other. They typically appear after facial acne clears up and remnants are left behind. Risk of acne scarring increases with irritation, touching and scratching. Also, risks of developing acne scars go up when individuals:

  • Have redder inflammatory acne;
  • Swollen, painful, cystic acne that penetrates deep into the pores;
  • Don’t treat acne in a timely manner;
  • Pick, squeeze or pop their acne;
  • Have a family history of acne scars.

Acne scars are a product of deep penetrating cystic acne and are caused by tissue damage. Like scars on other regions of the body they develop when the body is trying to heal itself. However, being on the face, deep in the pore, they do not heal as fast on their own. In severe cases, acne scars can last for life. When trauma from acne occurs, the body produces collagen to heal itself. If too little or too much collagen is produced, then a scar will appear.

Non-Laser Skin Rejuvenation
In addition to laser skin rejuvenation we offer few other options. The most common of which being the use of chemical peels, facials, topical creams/masks and in certain severe cases surgeries like a facelift, neck lift, brow lift, etc.Depending upon the severity of your skin issues and the area in which your skin needs correction, we will recommend a combination of chemical peels, facials, or surgeries.
